New Orleans Saints flea flicker works to perfection
Everyone and their brother predicted this Saints-Cardinals game would be a defense-optional shootout, and the home team is doing its best to prove us all right.
After a downright silly touchdown run by Reggie Bush, the Saints broke out the trickery in the form of a 44-yard flea flicker to Devery Henderson for a score.
Running back Pierre Thomas took the handoff from Drew Brees and immediately flipped it back to him. Breees then threw a strike to a streaking Henderson to give the Saints a 28-14 lead.
Arizona would have been better served to employ the Tecmo Super Bowl strategy where you crush the quarterback on any running play just in case.
