How Did Gaines Adams Die? An Enlarged Heart
Chicago Bears defensive end Gaines Adams is dead, according to a report by the Greenville News of South Carolina.
Gaines Adams died Sunday morning after arriving at the Emergency Room at Self Regional in Greenwood, South Carolina. He was just 26 years old.
Adams, a college standout at Clemson University, was drafted fourth overall by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2007 NFL Draft. In 2009, Gaines Adams was traded from Tampa Bay to the Chicago Bears in October.
So how did Gaines Adams die? Official word won’t come until an autopsy is performed later in the day. However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Gaines Adams may have died of a heart attack.
