Grammy Awards 2010 are going to air tonight, and everyone is so excited. The Grammys will feature a lifetime achievement award for Michael Jackson, which will be accepted by his children, Prince Michael and Paris, on the family’s behalf. This is a rare appearance of his children, and this
will likely bring even more viewers in to the Grammy Awards 2010.
For those wondering what Prince Michael and Paris will be wearing tonight on the red carpet – you might be a wee bit disappointed. The children will enter backstage and won’t be entering with fanfare. Blanket will not be appearing tonight onstage – only the two older children are currently planning on attending.
In addition to the excitement surrounding Michael Jackson’s lifetime achievement award, there is a lot of buzz circulating because of Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga’s multiple nominations. Who will the big winner be? Will it be the R&B diva that brought us songs such as “All the Single Ladies” (which was the song behind the cutest video of the year – the dancing baby), or will it be the country/pop crossover star that brought us songs that take us back to our high school days?
Or … will it be the artist that has brought us many shocking performances and edgy, catchy tunes that we can’t get out of our head?
It is going to be a tough call. If you go by last year’s award shows, you might get the impression that Taylor Swift is going to walk away with every award she is nominated for. There’s little doubt that she will win some of the awards, but she’s got some tough competition with Beyonce and Gaga.
A senior editor at Rolling Stone told Reuters that “”I think that Taylor’s going to have a really big night. Her sales have just been incredible … and she has this knack for connecting with country fans but also with young women and with pop music fans.”
Still yet, many people are wondering to see what tonight’s award show will bring. From the red carpet to star studded performances to seeing two of Michael Jackson’s three children – tonight’s show is going to be a hit.
